The Dayton Metro Library WWI Digital Collection is an assortment of items related to the Greater Dayton Area between the years 1914-1918. The collection is entirely digital and is comprised of items owned by the Dayton Metro Library that are part of established archival/manuscript collections and bound volumes from the Dayton Collection--the physical items remain in their original locations. The WWI Digital Collection presents a broad assortment of media made into digital objects. The purpose of the collection is to provide information on Dayton during the First World War and to highlight the holdings of the Dayton Metro Library Local History Collection. Digital objects in the collection link to, or contain citations for, the physical collection of which they are part. The intended audience are academics, students, and those with a general interest in local history.
